DESPITE wreaking havoc on some of our Caribbean neighbours while
threatening others, tropical storm Tomas reportedly did very little to
slow down entertainers Aidonia, Suhverto and the J.O.P camp last weekend
when they invaded St Vincent and Trinidad and Tobago.
Amidst heavy showers and power outages, St Vincent which was first on
the roster, was treated to a musical feast as the team — Aidonia,
Suhverto, Deablo and Navino — served up some sizzling performances that
had patrons clamouring for autographs and photo ops.
Opting not to return to Jamaica, the team departed for the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago the following day; kicking
off their second performance at Club Oss in Tobago on Thursday might.
The mid-week concert saw a packed house as Aidonia and his team stamped
their class on the island.
From there it was back to the soca mainland for the final concert on
Saturday night at the UWI St Augustine Senior Common Room, where they
were joined by upcoming artiste Chan Dizzy and in true dancehall fashion
they kept the Jamaican flag flying high throughout the night.
Now back in the island, preparations are being made to shoot another
video for Aidonia; Suhverto to release his upcoming mixtape while Deablo
and Navino will focus on their individual projects; new protégé Chedda
is featured in the latest edition of the US-based Fader Magazine.
