THE entertainment fraternity is coming together to raise funds for embattled deejay Ninjaman who remains in lock-up on charges relating to a murder in 2009.
Supreme Promotions organisers of the greatest one-night reggae festival — Sting — is the driving force behind this effort to raise funds to assist with the legal fees of the artiste known for his biting lyrics and entertaining live performances, and who has created some of Sting’s most memorable moments.
Among the acts on the bill are the outlaw Josey Wales, Beanie Man, Bounty Killer, Charlie Chaplain, Leroy Gibbons, Luciano, Triston Palmer, Admiral Bailey, Jimmy Riley, Major Mackerel, Professor Nuts, Merciless, Tanto Metro, George Nooks, Macka Diamond, Lady G, Stacious, D’Angel, Mr G, Foxy Brown, Spice, Cobra, Khago, I-Wayne, Wickerman and Barky, Junior Reid & Family, Twin of Twins, Friso Kid, Admiral Tibet, Nitty Kutchie, Hezron, Danny English, Determine, Mr Lexx, Tanto Blacks, Face, and Round Head.
The organisers note that the gate at Jamworld will open at 7:00 pm today, with Jamaica’s top sound systems and selectors including Stone Love, Sky Juice and Tony Matterhorn.
