Following a warrant for his arrest and two nights behind bars, Reggae singer 'Bushman' is free after the ongoing court battle was solved yesterday.
On Tuesday the entertainer was taken into police custody after he and his wife, Vanessa, failed to attend court. By Thursday, Bushman was granted station bail and that the matter was resolved after careful mediation.
Bushman tells Music News that the arrest stems from an altercation at an event between him and the police three years ago.
In 2008, Bushman was arrested and charged with assault and malicious destruction of property and was to return to the Yallahs Resident Magistrate's Court.
In that same matter, his wife, Vanessa, was charged with resisting arrest and obstruction.
It is reported that in 2008, Bushman and Vanessa visited a venue of an event in the parish to round up cheerleaders for a football league they were putting on when the altercation took place.
