Reggae Ambassador Etana, one of Jamaica’s most sought after reggae musicians is currently on tour in Europe. Majority of the venues she plays to, have been packed to capacity and receiving rave reviews. The tour kicked off in Amsterdam to thousands of supporters and reggae music lovers. She shares the stage with other reigning international reggae acts, Gyptian and Busy Signal.
The singing sensation has developed a sturdy fan-base in Europe where tracks from her debut album, “The Strong one” are still in high rotation. “Free”, “August Town”, “Blessings”, “Roots” and “I Am Not Afraid”, have been favorites for patrons. The down to earth songstress has her
audience singing along word for word, raising the level of exuberance to
the sold out shows. Though humble, Etana is delighted with the
responses received, based on the comments she posts to her following on
Twitter and Facebook. The over 77,000 Facebook fan page members are
updated with her every move, as she shares photos and links to watch
recorded footage of her journey. The singer has a down to earth approach
towards the group that she opens up to. She has grown attached to the
group that is privy to her personal thoughts and closed circuit photos
while on tour.
The singer admits, "It’s a wonderful experience once again being on the road and I look forward to a bigger and better next year". The good vibes and energy from the shows continues to Rome, Rimini, Venice, Linz, Vienna, Slovenia, Tirol, Bienne and Zurich. Upon completing the tour Etana gets ready to drop her highly anticipated, sophomore album Free Expressions due early 2011.
