severely ill
Earlier this week rumours had reached THE WEEKEND STAR that the singer was severely ill and in hospital abroad. Isaac’s manager, Copeland Forbes, however, said the singer is okay and doing well.
In an email Forbes said, “he’s not in a hospital he’s staying with Linda Smith (our United Kingdom management representative and promoter of the Reggae Symphony Concerts in the UK) who’s been taking good care
of him as he’s taking a well deserved rest after a very hectic year of
concert performances.”
According to Forbes, Isaacs has been busy on the road with shows such as the annual Raggamuffin Festivals in California, performances in Lima Peru, five shows in Brazil, two shows in Argentina, Athens Greece, the
2010 Sierra Nevada World Music Festival in Northern California, the
recent Brooklyn Music Festival on the 4th of July in Brooklyn New York
and the recent Reggaefest in Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands and
at the Big Chill Festival in Ledbury Eastnor in North London.
Forbes added, “as I’ve said he’s undergoing some medical test as he has a blood circulation problem in his legs and some pains in his chest which has been bothering him for over a year. He’s scheduled to return
to the doctor on September 21 for a follow-up on his condition and
should be back in Jamaica October 9.”
Isaacs has been in the music business since the 1960s and has produced a slew of hits such as Night Nurse and Tune In, among many others. More recently the singer released Isaacs meets Isaac with
