Fresh on the heels of copping the Soul Train Award for Best Reggae Artiste, Gyptian will headline this week's One Love Reggae Concert tomorrow night at the Negril Escape Resort in Negril.

This will be his first appearance in Negril since he shot to international prominence earlier this year, with the smash Billboard hit
Hold Yuh and his many fans in the west will no doubt expect a very
exciting performance from him. The artiste, whose real name is Windel
Edwards, has been having a great awards season so far, having also won
the UK-based MOBO award for Best Reggae Artiste a few weeks ago.

Gyptian came to local prominence earlier this decade with the hit song Serious Times, and has since then grown steadily to become one of the
consistent reggae singers in recent times. This can be attributed to
quality of his songs and his electric personality along with the fact
that he is a good stage performer.

Last Tuesday supporters of the weekly concert series in the resort town of Negril, were treated to a very exciting performance by veteran reggae
artiste Tony Rebel. OTher Reggae acts scheduled to appear on the
line-up in coming weeks are, Ky-Mani Marley, Richie Spice, Queen Ifrica,
Tarrus Riley and Marcia Griffiths.
