An application is to be made in the Supreme Court next Monday August 22 for singer Jah Cure to face proceedings for contempt of court.
Jah cure is accused of breaching a court order and performance agreement with a St Lucian radio station.
The radio station, Hot F-M Communications is claiming that it entered into a contract with Jah Cure for him to perform in St Lucia in December this year.
The company says the contract stipulates that Jah Cure should not engage in any other performance in St Lucia either 6 months before or 6 months after he is scheduled to perform in December
Hot F-M Communications is contending that earlier this month the company was informed of a planned performance by Jah Cure in St Lucia, under another promoter’s contractual agreement.
The company’s attorney Don Foote went to the Supreme Court and got an injunction, barring Jah Cure from performing in St Lucia prior to the December staging.
Hot F-M Communications claims that Jah Cure breached the court order because he went ahead and performed in St Lucia as per arrangements with the other promoter.
Meanwhile, numerous efforts to get a comment from Jah Cure proved futile.
Just recently Jah Cure tied the knot with television host Kamilia McDonald in a lavish ceremony at the Tryall Estate in Hanover.
