Munga returns from US, confirms second album

Fresh from several performances in North America, dancehall artiste Munga Honorebel is back in Jamaica, and ready to continue heating up the summer.

A special performance, The 'Gangsta Ras' says, was infront of a packed Café Omar in Brooklyn, an experience he described as "refreshing". "I really enjoyed the performance there. Café Omar had a great turnout and it was refreshing to see how well the crowd responded to tracks like Clean and Fresh, My Style and Mr Flip Rhymes."

Munga recalled. "It was also great to see how the fans came out to see Munga in concert, so that was definitely a good look," the artiste continued.

Now that he's back on the island, Munga has not eased up. The artiste has been back in the studio working on a number of projects.

"Right now I'm working on RE Dub Style which should be out soon. I'm also working with a number of producers on different projects," Munga said, listing persons and production houses like Jam 2, Supa Hype, DJ Karim and Seanizzle among the people that he is currently working with.

The artiste pointed that it is important for him to remain focused right now, as he confirmed that he is indeed recording his second album.

"Many people had no idea that my first album Bad From Mi Born was released as an album in 2007. It was produced by Don Corleone and released in Japan and on iTunes. Yes, I am doing a second album and yes we are currently recording tracks for it. The second album which is yet to be titled contains productions from a number of other producers, including the ones we spoke about before," the artiste coyly said.

Fans of the deejay can listen out for new singles including his collaboration with Chi Ching Ching on the track Woman Fashion on the Type R riddim. He also has a collaboration with Supa Hype and Gyptian on a track entitled Help Wid Da Body Deh on the J4 riddim. Munga has also promise new videos.

"I'm working on a video for a song called Don't Play and Loving Ah Draw Mi Out' produced by DJ Karim," Munga said, before mentioning that he leaves the island again to make a string of North American appearances that is part of a promotional tour for his upcoming album.
