• Reggae music has lost another big industry player.
  • According to reports, popular reggae music personality Zola Burse died early yesterday morning in a Florida hospital.
  • Burse is best known in the reggae community for his managing and booking relationships with well known artists such as Maxi Priest, Marcia Griffiths and among others.
  • Zola Burse had some four decades of involement with the reggae music industry dated back to 1972 at which time he was involved with STAX Records. Over his career, Zola has done work for the Grammy awards, Soul Train awards, American Music awards and many big name televisions.
  • Burse worked for Reggae Sunsplash Jamaica from 1984 to 1992, and until 1997, he was operating as the Production Manager for Reggae Sunsplash around the world. Zola Burse was also the tour manager for reggae icon Beres Hammond for several years.
