The Jamaica Public Service (JPS ) says approximately 170, 000 customers are without power due to downed utility poles, broken conductors and
faults on the electricity network resulting from heavy rains, lightening
storms and winds associated with the weather system.

The parishes worst affected are Manchester, Portland, St. Mary and Clarendon while areas currently without power include Lionel Town, Milk River, Rocky Point, Salt River Road, Amity Hall, and surrounding
communities in Clarendon, most communities in the parishes of St.
Elizabeth and Portland as well as sections of other parishes.
