Mr Vybz ‘I don’t bleach, I use cake soap’ Kartel, spoke to Robbo Ranx while he was in Amsterdam recently.

He spoke about all sorts of things including:

• ‘Owning’ dancehall in Jamaica this year
• The fashion flex from Clarks to straight jeans, fitted caps etc
• The social responsibility of being such an influencial artist -”If you, as an adult, or a parent is depending on Vybz Kartel to grow your child,
  you have already lost”
• Competition in the music scene

As always, Kartel has a way of coming across well in interviews. Weirdly, I was saying to someone the other day that some of the negative
stuff that often surrounds him, and at times the extreme lyrics in his
tracks makes me dislike him, but I ended up rethinking that again
after this.

I’m still loving nuff of his music but shaking my head at the amount of tattoos and the new brown face.
