La Lewis’ ongoing graffiti battle with the National Solid Waste Management Authority has landed him in hot water.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the self-proclaimed seven star general who failed to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's court yesterday to answer to charges of illegally marking or defacing public spaces across the corporate area.

La Lewis has been playing hardball with the National Solid Waste Management Authority after they ordered that he paid seventy-thousand dollars ($70,000.00) for seven (7) breaches of the National Solid Waste Act.

Not only has La Lewis refused to pay the money but in a previous Music News interview, La said he was innocent.

Today (20/09/11), the self-proclaimed 7 star general says he’s completely unaware that a warrant was issued for his arrest. La Lewis further claims that he is a law abiding citizen and fails to comprehend why a warrant would be issued for his arrest.

LA Lewis was fined on August 15 and given twenty-one days (or up until September 5) to pay the fines.  When that date passed the NSWMA got a court date for September 19 where the matter was set for mention.
