Alborosie has copped the MOBO Award for Best Reggae act.

The Italian reggae entertainer won the coveted title ahead of Damian Marley & Nas, Khago and Mavado. Jah Cure who was once a contender got the boot after organizers found out about his rape conviction.

The 16^th annual MOBO Awards was held in Glasgow, Scotland yesterday (October 5, 2011). The event was hosted by US singer Jason Derulo. Despite the miserable wet and windy weather in the city stars from across the globe including Boyz II Men, Alexis Jordan and Jessie J walked the red carpet.
