Reggae artiste Beres Brown, who made a controversial exit form Digicel Rising Stars in 2010, has found a musical home at Payday Music.

The artiste, however, disclosed that it has been a rocky journey.

"Since Rising Stars I went through tribulation but faith move mountain, so through all mi struggles mi just decide sey mi nah mek people draw mi out again," Beres Brown told The STAR.

According to the artiste, he became a musical nomad, moving from recording studio to recording studio, until he made a connection at Payday Music.

"I have been at different studios, but when mi guh Payday things improve. Bounty Killer a fi di youth dem, wi need more Bounty Killer because a him tell Payday fi voice di young artiste dem," Brown said.

The singer also disclosed that the Payday Music camp is about unity and good music.

"From mi guh Payday a just pure love, nuhbody nah pree hate a just unity, a Payday teach mi fi avoid certain things because talking nuh guh no where, mi a good youth an people wey a look trouble mi avoid now," he said.

Despite the setbacks that the artiste endured since his dismissal from Rising Stars, Beres Brown expressed that he still respects the organisers.

"Mi still respect Rising Stars, Sharon and di whola dem, because a dem mek people know mi. A me shudda nuh listen to people argument, mi love dem and mi know dem love mi to, but principle a principle," he said.

European tour

Beres Brown also disclosed that he has plans to do a European tour because he has developed a fan base there.

"I have songs in rotation in Europe and that is where I want to go. I sing about fighting tribulation and sufferation. Payday is pushing me because him si sey mi have natural talent, mi not even write songs, mi just guh in the booth and it comes natural," he continued.

"Big up my fans in Spanish Town, Lutan Fyah, mi madda, unno going to see great things from mi, some real music wey must live forever... I don't make one-day music," he said.

Beres Brown is promoting singles such as Who Can I Trust, When I'm In The Streets and Evil Man. He also has collaborations with Alliance Next Generation artistes Iyara, Nymron and Venom.

"I have a song on the charts in Portugal, so mi a mek progress, everybody mek mistakes wi a human," Brown said.
