Capleton’s annual event “A St. Mary Mi Come From” maybe joining the list of reggae stage shows that have bitten the dust.
King Shango’s manager Claudette Kemp says the event will not be held this year as they’re sourcing sponsorship and a new venue for a the popular charity show.
Claudette Kemp adds that the postponement will however, allow Capleton to take up offers to perform at various European reggae festivals.
A St. Mary Mi Come from which is normally staged at the Grays Inn Sports Complex in Annotto Bay, St. Mary saw a low turnout last year.
First staged in 2000, the event has provided funds for the St Mary Infirmary, a number of schools, sports and social clubs in the parish.
