Chaka Demus and Pliers have openly voiced their displeasure with Island Records founder Chris Blackwell.

An emotional Chaka Demus explained to the Entertainment Buzz Wednesday that in all their years of doing music they have never received a royalty statement. Chaka Demus further explained that due to a lack of income, his plans to build a school in the Waterhouse community were stifled.

Efforts to get a comment from Island Records founder Chris Blackwell proved futile.

Chaka Demus and Pliers are known for a slew of hits which include Murder She Wrote, Twist And Shout, Tease Me and many more.

Chaka Denus is currently promoting his 14 track solo album, Second Coming.
