Reggae star Chris Martin flew off to Europe this week for shows in Paris, Copenhagen and Hamburg, but not before he completed work on his latest video, 'Just Like You'.
The video and song, dedicated to his father, and fathers in general, was completed in time for tomorrow's Father's Day.
The video, produced by RD Studios, balances the scale for the entertainer, who had previously recorded Mama, dedicated to his mother.
The song has had a measure of success, appealing to listeners in Jamaica, Africa and Europe.
"I just want to thank everyone that made Mama a success and an anthem for mothers all over the world. My mother means a lot to me, and that was one of the main reasons I did that song," he said.
However, Martin wanted it to be known that his father means just as much. He also had a special word for men who took their roles as fathers seriously.
"My father and I have just as great a bond, so it was only fitting that I did a song for him as well, so here is the video, and happy Fathers' Day to all the great and responsible fathers out there. The real generals!" he said.
"I'm very proud of this project and I'm happy I got the opportunity to highlight my father, who is truly my 'dadz' and my general."
Martin has been busy recently, performing in the United States and now Europe. He also has trips planned for Africa.
Performing in Los Angeles, United States, he got the chance to meet one of his idols, musical icon Stevie Wonder, who promised to get his music on more radio stations there.
