There is even more problem for Clifton 'Cliff-Twang' Brown as THE STAR understands that he is being sued for monies outstanding from several bounced cheques he tendered at a gas station late last year.

THE STAR understands that a lawsuit has been filed in the Sutton Street Resident Magistrate's Court against Brown after he reportedly issued three cheques to a gas station in the Corporate Area for gas and other items.

Brown is being sued for $56,000.

A reliable source told THE STAR that Brown had tendered the cheques, which later bounced due to insufficient funds in his account.

The lawsuit was filed after Brown was informed of the mishap, and monies owed to the gas station were not forthcoming.

He is to appear in court on February 14, for this matter.

Brown is also before the Family Court for the lack of child support maintenance.

He was hauled before the courts by his wife, the mother of his children.

Last week Tuesday, THE STAR had reported that Brown was offered $80,000 in the Family Court from last year, but he had not taken up the bail.

On Thursday, he was given bail in his own surety and he is return to the Family Court in this matter also in February.

Brown became an overnight celebrity following the release of the immensely popular song Nobody Canna Cross It.

The remix was done by DJ Powa after Brown appeared on a newscast where he called on authorities to rebuild the bridge in his Mavis Bank, St Andrew community.
