D'Angel launches 'An So Thursdays' at Cookies nightclub

Dancehall artiste D'Angel, has launched a new weekly event dubbed 'An So Thursdays'.

Born from a new collaboration with the Cookies nightclub in Port Henderson, Portmore, D'Angel promises hardcore entertainment.

"Mr Cookie and I have agreed on a partnership for this event to take the club to the next level, to cement Portmore's place as the third city where party never stops," D'Angel said.

The artiste has also inked a deal with Mudslide, which will be the official drink of 'An So Thursdays' as well as the title sponsors.

D'Angel revealed that promoting an event is somewhat new to her entrepreneurial portfolio, however, she has put a lot of hard work into the preparations.

"I am enjoying the promotions, it has been a lot of work but I have been very hands on through the process. I have been at every event and on the streets assisting with the promotions, so I am looking for a 100 per cent support," she said.

The event will start at 10 p.m., each Thursday at Cookies nightclub and is expected to feature appearances from various entertainment personalities.

party with a difference

The host of 'An So Thursdays' will be television personality/comedian Pretty Boy Floyd, and according to D'Angel, it will be a party with a difference.

"We will play all genres of music and all artistes. We will also feature a different selector each week. This party will be added to the must go weekly party listing, because persons have already told me that they will come here every Thursday after going to other events," she said.

The admission for 'An So Thursdays' will be $500 and according to D'Angel, some nights will offer different deals depending on the concept.

"We will have free Mudslide shots for the ladies, and some weeks we may have ladies free. It all depends on the theme for that particular week. As time progresses, we will have new innovations," she added.

"Come to 'An So Thursdays' because it will not be like any normal party. It is the place where artistes will be shown love. It is an event for everybody where entertainment is of a high standard and exclusively star- studded," she said.

The dancehall diva also offered special thanks to all who turned out to support the event, and acknowledged the presence of Beenie Man, KipRich, Ninja Kid, Flexx, Potential Kidd, Captain Barkey, Guidance, Ghandi and a number of other dancehall A-listers.

D'Angel is also slated to launch her first book later this month.

The book is called Love Triangle and is a fictional novel, which according to D'Angel is intended to lay the platform for a follow-up book bearing her biography.

The launch of 'An So Thursdays' was well attended by media personalities, recording artistes, and members of the Portmore community and other walks of life who wanted a taste of a new experience.
