Upcoming dancehall artiste Antwain is already stepping on corns with the release of his latest single in which he speaks against supporting politicians. According to the artiste, the politicians have heard the lyrics and they are not appreciative.

The song, which is causing some amount of controversy, is called Move, and speaks against social injustice and issues of political corruption and betrayal.

"I speak of the promises that they make and don't fulfil, poverty and unemployment," Antwain told THE STAR.

According to the artiste, the song is played every day, and it upsets some politicians who have requested its removal from the radio, while others have requested it as a dub plate in support of their party.

"I have been approached by politicians who want me to pick side and get the song to say vote for them some from another side have even gone as far as to say I should remove the song," he said.

The lines that have struck a blow to politicians are the ones that say "Gwey Gwey come outa mi yaad, tell dem come outa mi yaad, mi nuh care which party yu represent, wholla uno leaders a fraud / mi nuh love how unnu treat poor people mi rather vote fi di criminal."

As the song progresses, he uses the term 'Poli-trick-sion' to classify politicians.

He also encourages the public to hold their votes because they have been betrayed over the years.

"Mi naah follow mi granny wid di die-hearted t'ing, cuz a wi feel di pain, yes we are victim / unnu come een like the pastors weh sen round di plate and wi bruck but him collec' the offering still / the country a mash up / taxi man a cry cuz the road dem a crack up plus every odda Thursday unnu raise the gas up," he sings.

The artiste says that releasing the song has earned him strong opposition but he embraces the fight proudly because he knows that he is fighting on behalf of the poor.

"Even though it's a war, it's a proud battle because I represent the suffering," he said.

The artiste is working with Corey Todd/Notnice Records, Roach and Platinum Wire production.

Antwain says that he is committed to doing positive music, and he wants to get full support from true music lovers.

"I am different and I work hard, and I strive to make music that is timeless and positive, so support Antwain because I deserve it," he said.
