After a few days in police lockup, dancehall deejay 'Deva Bratt' was granted bail yesterday (12/06/12) in the sum of $150,000 in the Spanish Town R-M Court on sex-related charges.
Bail was granted after the deejay’s lawyer expressed that his client is not a flight-risk.
Reports are that Deva Bratt took two women home and wanted to have sex with them, but they rejected his advances.
It is alleged one of the girls was punched repeatedly causing bruises. The matter was reported to the Bridgeport police and following an investigation, Deva Bratt was taken into custody and later charged by the St Catherine South police (Friday).
When Music News contacted the deejay this morning his representative says Deva Bratt was unavailable as he was locked in a meeting.
Deva Bratt is scheduled to return to court on August 14 to answer to the charges of indecent assault and assault occasioning bodily harm.
