Controversial dancehall artiste Deva Bratt is slated to release a song featuring Merciless, and comments on Sting. According the artiste, the music industry is very political, and is quick to turn its back on certain artistes; however, he says he does not join the politics.

The collaboration is called Gallis Fi Life and is slated to be released in upcoming weeks.

"This is how the song came about. I called Merciless name in a song sometime ago, and he called me after that, so we decided to do a song," he said.

According to Deva Bratt, Merciless has been overlooked by the music industry despite putting in hard work.

"Over the years, people overlook the artiste but he has been a friend of mine and a good artiste; plus I can understand his experience because people have tried to push me aside as well," he continued.

"I treasure friendship because a good friends help me when I am at my worst point. I do not subscribe to the politics in dancehall, suh mi have to rate my friends because a dem see that I have talent and give me support," he said.

The artiste also commented on his performance at the recently concluded Sting, claiming that his opponent Iyara, only won the clash by pulling a prank.

"Iyara nuh want a lyrical confrontation with me, that's why he went for Stewie the fake baby and run off stage. He didn't come to face me lyrically," he said.

The artiste revealed that his problems started from backstage, because the announcement of their clash was too drawn out.

" I was backstage for over two hours waiting on the clash, I was doing an interview when I heard that Iyara was on stage, and so I just ran straight to the stage without being composed or in the right frame of mind," he said.

According to Deva Bratt, despite being announced as the loser of the clash, it has damaged his career in no way.

"Since Sting the response has been positive, I have been getting more hits on YouTube and Facebook, and more people have been calling requesting dubplates now," he told the STAR.

The artiste disclosed that he is now focused on making music and doing productions.

His label, Krucial Konflict, in collab- oration with Architect Records, is currently promoting an exclusive rhythm called Uncle Rhythm which features Deva Bratt and his seven-year-old son Yashweezi, among other developed and upcoming artistes.

Deva Bratt is also set to release singles such as Out Deh, Tek Ie Wine and My Brain.

These are singles which he believes will be well received by his fans.

"For 2012 I will pay more attention to my fans. I am just going to do crazy music and turn up my work ethic," he concluded.

The artiste is slated to perform in Barbados and Trinidad in February.
