Dancehall artiste Deva Bratt is planning to release his debut album in 2013. The album will be predominantly reggae, as the artiste believes he has a growing fan base in Europe.

"Mi deh yah same speed a gwaan set di road. Some fighting a gwaan but mi a gwaan work pan di album. We haven't decided on a name as yet because am not sure which song is going to be the lead song," Deva Bratt said.

The artiste disclosed that the album will feature 16 tracks and two bonuses. He also said that the project is being produced by Architect Records and will feature Lutan Fyah, I Octane, Gyptian, Baxcom X and Champagne.

"It's going to have a dancehall vibe, but it's mostly reggae songs. I would say it's a full reggae album. I decided to go reggae because I developed a market in Europe and I want to enhance the market. I find performing in Europe profitable and it gives me joy and pleasure to see people stand up and enjoy a full set and listen to songs until they are finished. I also believe that we need more quality music so people can be pleased to listen because after all it is reggae music," he said.

The artiste also pointed out that he has not turned his back on dancehall.

"I still do dancehall songs and I am still putting out songs on YouTube and iTunes. But I am doing songs with substance. When the album is done I might have a slight modification to my moniker to promote, it but I have not decided on that name as yet," he said.

Rated as one of the stronger lyricists from Vybz Kartel's disbanded Portmore Empire, Deva Bratt developed a reputation for his multiple lyrical clashes with Aidonia, Munga, Iyara, Bounty Killer, Nymron and Black Ryno. However, this year the artiste is not booked for Sting.

"I am not finished with clashing, once there is a worthy opponent and there is a worthy income at stake. I will definitely be at Sting just in case any culprit go up there and call my name. If that is the case it naah guh pretty," he continued.

"Mi nuh gone nuh wey, mi deh yah same way so keep putting the comments on YouTube on my songs because your comments keep me strong and give me more urge to continue. Mi a guh tun up di thing loud till it def people. Season's greetings, hope everybody have a wonderful Christmas," Deva Bratt said.

Songs like Duppy Dem, Wi Sey Dat and Party Shelling are currently being promoted.
