Less than a handful of industry players attended the funeral of producer Roach on Sunday.
Dancehall deejays Assassin and Goofy, entertainment publicist Claude Mills, Stampede, producers Christopher Burch, Andrew Blacks, Sonny Spoon, Roach’s musical partner Justus and Johnny Wonder were the only representatives from the Entertainment Industry.
Close family friend Orville Dixion says while they’re thankful for those paid their respects to the producer, they are disappointed by the dismal turnout from the entertainment industry.
Fans, friends and family members were present for Roach’s final farewell at the Fellowship Tabernacle Church located at 2 Fairfield Avenue, in St. Andrew where reverend Al Miller presided.
Roach was buried at the Medowrest Memorial Park in St Catherine.
The 46 year old producer rose to prominence with the Siren rhythm which produced Vybz Kartel’s Emergency and Sean Paul’s international hit Breakout.
Roach was shot multiple times on Manning’s Hill Road shortly after he left a party on September 15.
The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) has reported that no one has been arrested in the murder, however, investigations are ongoing.
