Independent label Down Sound Records has officially closed their St. Andrew Park headquarters and will soon make an announcement regarding their relocation and expansion plans for 2014 and beyond.
CEO Josef Bogdanovich has decided to fully comply with orders issued by the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation, KSAC.
In doing so, Joe has suspended operations and downsized staff, making several engineers, artistes, and auxiliary staff temporarily unemployed.
According to Down Sound Records publicist Claude Mills, selector Foota Hype, entertainers Harry Toddler and Don Husky were among those who were temporarily suspended without pay.
However, Foota Hype took to Instagram this morning declaring he has quit Down Sound Records indicating he will no longer take the disrespect from the company.
Foota Hype then further made reference to the release on Ishawna’s “CRY BABY” questioning how they could release a song dissing a member of the company to promote another.
Several weeks ago, the KSAC obtained a Supreme Court order, compelling Down Sound Records Limited to remove its studio which is in St Andrew Park Kingston 10 before September 16.
