FREDDIE MCGREGOR PULLS PLUG ON JAZZ & BLUES

Veteran entertainer, Freddie McGregor is disgruntled with the organizers of the 2012 Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival.

The CEO of Big Ship Productions tells Music News he has taken a personal decision and will not perform at the annual event. Freddie McGregor laments that he refuses to play what he calls an “underdog role.”

Freddie McGregor who was expected to perform on Thursday night of the three day festival has already communicated his decision to the organizers.

Celine Dion, Ce Lo Green, The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards, Destra, Marcia Griffiths, Yellow Man, Kymani Marley and Luciano are just a few of the entertainers slated to perform.

The 2012 staging of the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival will run from January 26 – 28 at the Green Field Stadium in Trelawny.
