Iyara making progress in the music industry

Dancehall artiste Iyara believes he is making progress in the music industry, after making a positive impact on his recent one-month tour of England. According to the Alliance Next Generation artiste, he feels grateful for his latest progress.

The dancehall artiste who defeated fellow dancehall artiste Deva Bratt at the Sting show in December, has since released a series of new material aiming to cement himself as one of dancehall's most prolific artistes.

According to Iyara's manager, Cross Cris, the artiste's performance was so impressive on the UK tour that his stay was extended to another week.

"The entire ANG performed well, but we performed in different areas. I was mostly at the places where Iyara performed and he was really on his A game; that is why we ended up getting an extension for an additional week," Cross Cris said.

During the tour which ended late last month, Iyara received a CMA UK award for Best International Breakthrough artiste. he is currently nominated for a South Florida Reggae and Dancehall music award in the category of Best New Artiste, and currently holds the award for best up-and-coming artiste in the last Music Industry Achievers awards.

Iyara says his progression in the music industry should be credited to Bounty Killer and expresses his experience has been positive.

"I got the chance to showcase my talent to a wide audience of people and also to promote my music in various ways. thanks to Bounty Killer and Cross Cris for making this opportunity possible. I also won an award while being on tour and that topped off the tour for me" Iyara said.

The tour saw Iyara performing in places like Brixton, Coventry, Derby, Birmingham, Gloucester, Barking and Tottenham.
