Khago drops 'Wine Pon the Pole' single to rave reviews

International recording artiste Khago is bubbling with confidence, given the huge reaction to his latest 'Wine Pon The Pole' single on the 'Aurora Skies' rhythm for So Unique Records label.

The highly anticipated single hit radio with gale force last week.

"The single slap weh, Elvis find another big hit, ah that everybody ah tell me. Mi just feel good fi be a part of this project, and the reaction from the fans when mi perform it over the weekend mean say it look like mi haffi go do a video quick, quick," Khago said in a release.

Khago has been on a major tour in recent weeks. In February, he scored another number one with his breakout crossover single, Tun Up De Ting, on the 'Overproof Rhythm', which held the number one position on the Boston Hot 97 dancehall charts for six consecutive weeks.

And his recent single, Tax Inna My World, peaked at number 3 on the FIWI Choice Top ten charts, hit the top five of the ER dancehall top ten charts and the video is also in the top five on the CVM Hitlist.

"Mi just have to big up mi marketing and promotions team on the good job they are doing. Mi have a lot more hits fi drop pon the people including a song called Bad Mind ah Go Kill Dem that mi do fi Notnice, right now, ah Skywalker everybody ah call me, the ting tun up," Khago said in the release.

The artiste also denied rumours in the streets that the Notnice-produced Bad Mind Ah Go Kill Dem blowing up over FM radio is directed at rival artiste I-Octane.

"Right now, mi and Octane good inside and outside, all that was last year. Right now, I am just doing good music for the people. Mi no do music for any one man, not even for myself, music for the people ... that's all mi care bout," he said, laughing.

The Nah Sell Out Mi Friend Dem singjay recently performed at KipRich's birthday party in the Spendless nightclub n Round Hill, St Elizabeth, alongside Potential Kidd, a fired-up Bounty Killer and KipRich.

Khago also made a high-profile cameo during the Scotiabank Group's Service and Support Conference at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston on Saturday.

The deejay is booked to appear at a nightclub show in Fort Lauderdale on March 24, and he is also booked to appear at the annual 'Best of the Best' concert in Miami in May.
