MOBO-nominated deejay Khago will be one of the headline acts at the family event, Busta Food Festival on Heroes Day. The 11th staging of the event will be held at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Centre in Montego Bay.
"I am looking forward to the event because it is a major fundraiser for the 4-H movement in Jamaica, and we must support organisations that support the youth of Jamaica," Khago said in a release.
The Busta Nyammins and Jammins 2011 festival endorses the Eat Jamaican campaign by the Ministry of Agriculture, and will seek to promote the concept with food items that will be available for consumption. This food festival is one of the main annual fundraising events for the Jamaica 4-H Movement.
This year's event will feature a farmers' market at the venue, chain-saw contests, canine contests and even a strong-man competition.
In the meantime, the deejay has been nominated for a MOBO (Music of Black Origin) award in the category of Best Reggae Act alongside Mavado, Damian Marley and Nas, and Alborosie. The show will be held today in Glasgow, Scotland.
"I just want to congratulate the other nominees and I wish them all the best as well," the deejay whose latest single, Tun Up De Ting on the Overproof riddim, is doing well on local charts.
The deejay is set to perform at a show in Washington DC and he is also booked for a club show in Philadelphia at the end of this month.
"Right now, the ting tun up," the artiste said in the release.
