With assault charges still lingering, 2013 will see Mavado in a courthouse.

When the entertainer appeared in court this morning to answer to charges of assault occasioning bodily harm, the case was put off until February 2013.

All this stems from a shooting incident that left the singjay's childhood friend dead.

Mavado’s friend Conroy "Connie" Edwards was allegedly shot by an off-duty policeman. The bullet entered the left side of his abdomen where it lodged. Connie succumbed to his injuries on the evening of June 16.

It is alleged that Vado had a physical altercation with the policeman in question.
