Veteran entertainers Merciless and Paul Elliott had a physical altercation at the free concert held Down Kingston on Sunday (29/01/12) in memory of the late Crown Prince of Reggae, Dennis Emanuel Brown.

According to Paul Elliott he was peeved after Merciless said some disparaging things to him backstage at the event.

The brawl occurred while Half Pint was on stage performing “We a One Big Family”. Paul Elliot was later prevented from performing.   

Meanwhile, numerous efforts to get a comment from Merciless proved futile.

Nonetheless, the memorial concert for Dennis Brown was well supported. Half Pint, Big Youte, Beres Hammond, Ken Boothe and Jimmy Riley were some of the entertainers who performed.
