Ninja Man says patrons should be on their best behaviour

Dancehall veteran Ninja Man is pleading with members the public to come on their best behaviour today when he and Downsound Records play host at his annual birthday bash at Turtle River in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

The tough-talking deejay, christened Desmond Ballentine, has made the plea following a meeting with the region's superintendent of police recently to discuss matters relating to the event, along with his manager and label CEO, Joseph Bogdanovich.

The superintendent challenged the men to be vigilant in their approach and, as such, the popular lyricist will be using his star power to influence such desires.

"People, the police say that is me in charge of security so unuh know how that goes," said an animated Ninja Man.

Ninja Man's birthday bash will take on a new look this year as a family fun day as well as a stage show in the night. Children are free, but accompanying adults are being asked to pay $500.

There will be activities for children such as fun cycles, merry-go-round, rock climber, mechanical bull, train track, mobile video games, clowns, and much more. Gates are open at 10 a.m., food and drinks will be on sale.

The stage-show segment will feature performances by Capleton, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Mavado, Luciano, Cocoa Tea, Chronixx, Aidonia, Jah Bouks, and many more.

Couples will pay $1,000 while singles pay $1,500. Ninja Man's birthday bash is being marketed by Contractor's Marketing, the marketing arm of Downsound Records.
