Sting locks in dancehall's reigning divas

Sting has confirmed dancehall's leading female acts for the highly anticipated December 26 showdown at Jamworld.

In the male-dominated arena Supreme Promotions made it a priority to secure the hottest females on the local music scene for their premier event. This move will ensure a balance for patrons and the industry for which they play a critical role in developing.

Leading the pack is the colourful and wildly exciting dancehall princess, Spice. No newcomer to the game, Spice has been firing up the tough Sting crowd since 2000. The Billboard-chart artiste has always been a favourite with the strong support of her home crowd. The Jim Screechie singer has a catalogue of hits to blast to her fans on Boxing Day.

Expect a high-energy performance with tunes such as her dancehall classic, Ramping Shop to the controversial, Slim VS Fluffy and the girl's anthem, Body Great. Spice has been dominating the airwaves with her new music, and will unleash a few for the audience at Sting. Look out for her fresh release, Yuh Mad, a collaborative effort with Washroom entertainment that has been creating a lot of buzz in the streets.

Sting 2012 has also secured the Dancehall Duchess, Tiana. This will be her second appearance on the Jamworld stage. The current chart topper is one of the few females currently dominating the music charts. Her reigning hit, Dem A Bawl has been holding firm both locally and overseas.

The hit track made it to MTV status proving her to be one to watch out for. The tune is presently #1 on both Kenya's dancehall chart and TVJ's Video Alley. She has also made her way to the top of the Caribbean's arch channel, Tempo's Pree Dis, Richie B, Hype TV and CVM's Hit List charts, among others. This year has been a great one for Tiana, marking the release of her debut EP, Princess of The Dancehallas well as her first mix tape,Real Bad Gyal.

Also ready for her debut Sting performance is the matriarch, Destiny. Destiny has been racking up YouTube views with her brazen cover of fellow Montegonian, Tommy Lee Sparta's, Mechanic.
