Both Tony Rebel and radio-station host DJ Sunshine have dismissed rumours circulating that they have been at odds regarding comments she made on her show recently that is aired on Irie FM.

"It's just a misunderstanding. Tony Rebel is one of the few people that I'll sit down and reason with; we were friends before March 16th and we'll be friends after March 16th," said DJ Sunshine in an interview with THE STAR on Thursday.

It was also being speculated that Tony Rebel was at one point threatening legal action against the station. He, however, dismissed those claims. According to him, "there is a misunderstanding that took place from IRIE FM's end. But because of the long-standing association I have with IRIE, we are resolving it."

Although there has been widespread speculation that comments made by DJ Sunshine on air was in retaliation to a comment made by Rebel, both parties have remained mum on the issue.

When pressed as to what had transpired which led to the disagreement in the first place, Rebel said: "it's not something we wanted to express, we are past that, I do not want to revisit that."

The station has since been airing an apology to Tony Rebel.
