DANCEHALL recording artiste Wasp is now back in the island after completing a two-week stint on the African continent with fellow entertainers, Cocoa Tea, Beres Hammond, Fantan Mojah and Giovanni.

The tour formed part of the Lager Beer Summer Festival and saw Wasp and his compatriots making stops in Harare, Zimbabwe and Johannesburg, South Africa.

 "This was my first time visiting the motherland and it was a deeply moving and spiritual experience to see how loving and appreciative the people were of us and our music. It's an experience that I think every artiste should get at some point in their career," Wasp intimated.

With the conclusion of the tour, the artiste whose given name is Marvin Clarke, is back in the studio working on two new albums one reggae and the other dancehall along with several singles. According to Wasp the albums will be due for official release is the first quarter of 2012 and will featured a lot of exclusive material.

Meanwhile, the artiste is reporting that the video for his single Thank You is gaining attention throughout the Caribbean diaspora after making its debut two weeks ago. The song pays tribute to all the critics who have been instrumental to his continued success thus far.
