TUCKED away off the Mandela Highway in St Catherine, the Caymanas Golf and Country Club became the party central of Jamaica as foot-stomping, Champagne-sipping and lip-locking revellers partied into 2012 at the Xclusive Luminaries on Saturday night.

"The party was very successful in terms of the turn out, food and the vibe. Most importantly, it was exclusive as we intended it be," said Garth Walker, one of the seven promoters of the event. "We brought on a new title sponsor this year, Ciroc vodka — which has Sean 'Diddy' Combs as its ambassador — so that brought a superstar feel to the event."

 The high-end soiree lived up to the promoters' expectation, as it brought out some of Jamaica's finest to the secluded country club. Track and field sensation Usain Bolt was in high demand for photo opps from many of the female patrons. Dancehall elites Bounty Killer, Elephant Man and Stephen McGregor, however, shun the limelight and formed a group near the bar where they entertained themselves.

Corporate Jamaica was also represented as Digicel's CEO Mark Linehan also made it a party stop.

"The event was incident-free and party goers were in a safe and well-secured environment," Walker continued.

That left the 1,500 revellers who made the out-of-town trek with one thing on their minds -- to have a good time. And, despite the short hemlines and super tall heels, the females danced up a storm into the wee hours of Sunday morning.

At midnight, balloons were released to usher in the New Year and shift the party into high gear. Couples recommitted with kisses while patrons chose to stomp the dance floor while lifting their drinks in the air.

DJ Renegade from Miami and DJ Lank from Code Red provided the unstoppable soundtracks leading into 2012 while the caterers ensured no one left the venue unfed.

"We're building a brand. It can only get better and better with time," Walker added.
