The magazine lauds the entertainer's 'uncommon ability to craft certified boomshots' as well as the 'dancehall blasters' and the 'heartfelt homages' found on the the double-disc album.
He is also featured in a video to be released today on the magazine's website, complex.com.
The video recognises Jamaica's celebration of 50 years of Independence this year and sees Mr Vegas speaking of his and Jamaica's journey and culture over the years.
In it, Mr Vegas reminisces on awaiting the top 100 song listing at the end of each year on his mother's battery operated radio when he was a child, as well as the days when he used to hang out outside the studio waiting for his opportunity to enter.
It features him doing a dub plate of Gimme A Light for sound system Stone Love, and he later goes on to explain what a dub plate is.
He also comments on the past 50 years of reggae music making mention of the legendary Bob Marley and The Wailers.
