Anthony B has cancelled the remainder of his European tour due to exhaustion, according to a statement from his booking agency.

"We are sorry to announce that due to serious illness all shows on the artiste's Freedom Fighter Tour have been cancelled," the statement from Buxna Artist Agency read in part.

It added that the roots-reggae artiste has been ordered by doctors to rest for two months. He is expected to resume touring in March.

Anthony B collapsed after a show in Dallas, Texas on October 6. He was rushed to hospital where tests revealed he was dehydrated, brought on by exhaustion.

The singjay, known for his hectic touring, had shows lined-up in the United Kingdom following his dates in the United States.

Anthony B (real name Keith Anthony Blair) was one of the new wave Rasta performers who emerged during the mid-1990s. The Trelawny-born artiste got his breakthrough in 1996 with the controversial hit, Fire Pon Rome, produced by Richard 'Bello' Bell for Startrail Records.

The song hit out against corporate greed and name-checked several leading Jamaican private sector bosses. Bell produced several of Anthony B's early hits including Raid The Barn.
