International dancehall star Beenie Man is in the middle of his successful major North American Hottest Man Alive tour, which has completed over 60 gigs in the past two months.
The Hottest Man Alive tour kicked off on March 22. He has performed at venues and clubs in New Orleans, San Antonio, Dallas, Huntsville , Houston, Denver, Oaklands, LA, Phoenix and Portland. In Canada, the tour rolled through cities like Vancouver, Nelson, Calgary, Regina, Edmonton and Thunder Bay. Now, pulling into its eight week, the tour will reportedly end in the first week of June.
"The tour sell off, and the requests keep coming in from promoters because of the incredible performances and the popularity of Beenie Man's singles such as Hottest Man Alive and My Life So Happy," Rohan 'Blue' Smith said.
My Life So Happy entered the CVM Hitlist charts last week. In the meantime, the tour has criss-crossed North America, with several shows in both first world countries. He performed at Club NV in Brantford, Canada on Sunday.
"We will be back in the US for a couple weeks then back in Canada to close off the tour during the first week of June. The shows are great ... great response everywhere," Blue said.
Beenie Man's I'm So Happy video is also in heavy rotation on HYPE, RE, MD TV and SWAG TV in Portmore. Another Beenie Man video, So Beautiful, featuring Gyptian, has also been released.
"Right now, we are getting great feedback from Doh Watch Me on the Nuh Fraid riddim for Jah Snowcone, so when we get to Jamaica, we're going to hard on that song," Blue said.
