Buju Banton’s son Markus Myrie is warning the public that he is NOT seeking money from anyone in order to raise funds in aid of his father. 

Unscrupulous persons pretending to be Markus Myrie are reportedly soliciting monies for a Buju Banton charity concert.

Markus tells Music News that the public should not pay any money to anyone who claims that they are acting on behalf of Buju.

This comes only a few months after promoters in Trinidad were scammed out of monies in aid of a concert for Buju.

The move prompted Buju’s legal team to send a warning advising that persons caught collecting money on behalf of Buju Banton will suffer legal consequences.

Buju Banton who is currently serving a ten year sentence in a Florida prison today celebrates his 41st birthday.
