Elephant Man throws down Sumfest contest - Artiste to give away $50,000 to a fan

Dancehall artiste Elephant Man is the latest artiste to be confirmed for this year's staging of Reggae Sumfest.

According to the artiste, he signed off on his contract last week and will be performing on Dancehall night, Thursday, July 19.

"Mi a go do a 20-minute set and all a di fan dem a go get a surprise. Mi cyaah tell unnuh what the surprise is right now but trus mi, mi a go shell it dung. Everybody gonna wanna know what the surprise is, but me nah give it away yet. I'm gonna be performing a lot of hits from the old catalogue to the new tunes," Elephant Man told THE STAR.

Elephant Man said his die-hard fans can expect a set that is high-energy. The self-proclaimed 'Energy God' who is known for his multi-coloured hairstyles and colourful outfits said he also has a competition in place that will be beneficial to his fans.

"Mi a give away $50,000 to anybody that can guess what colour hairstyle mi a wear go Sumfest. Anybody whe guess the hair colour wha me a go wear pon the stage a go get a 50 grand! Serious ting," the artiste said.

Elephant Man has been performing at Reggae Sumfest since 1998 when he made his debut with his Scare Dem crew team. In 1999 he performed at Reggae Sumfest as a solo artiste and since then, he has performed at the event every year.

Elephant Man is known for songs such as Nuh Linga, Sweep,This Is How We Do It and Gully Creepa.
