Sample Six dancer wants credit for slangs

Popular dancer Dollar Bounce of the Sample Six dance group is upset over what he describes as the lack of recognition by entertainers who have been using his latest slang to generate a buzz in their songs.

The dancer is upset that the slang "si mi yah," that he claims to have created, is being used by entertainers without them giving him any form of credit.

"Everybody know that Dollar Bounce responsible for some of the baddest slangs weh come run di place. Now, we have 'si mi yah' weh a run di place. 'Si mi yah' means like if for example yuh have a girl at a party weh owe yuh a dance from time an yuh see har yuh just seh, see mi yah! Bring it come gi mi yah! It work in different cases also. But di artiste dem a use it and not even a seh big up Dollar Bounce," the dancer complained.

He went on to question, "Mi see whole heap a artiste a use di slang and not even a seh big up Dollar Bounce inna it. How that fi right?"

It seems he might get the recognition he seeks as he told The STAR that a few entertainers have already recorded soon to be released songs that his name is included in.

Dollar Bounce is now working with Darkcide where he will be travelling to a few overseas shows with the entertainers as a dancer.

"Right now, with all weh a gwaan mi still a work. I'll be off the island soon as we have some shows in the Caribbean. I'm now officially signed to Darkcide," he said.
