With the summer steadily approaching and the entertainment scene heating up, dancehall artiste Kalado is getting ready to give his fans a season to remember and even more reasons to dance.
Having done a medley music video for two of his biggest songs, Pree Money and Pay Dem Nuh Mind, which has already racked up thousands of hits on Youtube, the Alliance Next Generation (ANG) artiste, is once again ready to dominate the charts and airwaves with the video release for Take A Ride.
The anxiously awaited video will be premiered on Friday at the Famous Nightclub in Portmore, where Kalado will also perform.
Dubbed the 'LIME Celebrity Showcase', Kalado told THE STAR that he wanted to premiere the video in a club and chose Famous since it was the most sensational club in terms of its appeal and location.
unique
"Just come out and enjoy a great time, it's going to be unique and I know that fans will really love the Take A Ride video, which was directed by Cash Flow and myself. I have a lot of Portmore-based fans, so I'm gonna be putting on an amazing show for them," he said.
In addition to the video release and performance, Kalado told THE STAR that fans will be in for a treat as he will be giving away CDs and DVDs of his singles and videos.
The deejay, who has been making his presence felt musically since 2008, savoured the real taste of success in 2013 with the breakout singles Make Me Feel and Good Good Bring Life, which made their debut on charts in the Caribbean and the United Kingdom. Not surprisingly, he is poised to enjoy even greater success this year.
Another single, Jealousy Is in the Air, produced by ZJ Chrome, has also been receiving widespread attention and is expected to once again propel Kalado to the fore of the industry.
Kalado, whose real name is Eton Gordon, had his initial break in 2008 when he entered the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall show. In 2011, Kalado caught the attention of dancehall heavyweight Bounty Killer, who was so impressed by the young deejay, he invited him to become a member of the ANG.
Kalado is proving to the world that he is ready to establish himself in the dancehall as a formidable contender. He stated, "Look out for me, I'm coming to stand on the world, and if I get tired, I'll sit on the throne instead!"
