Just returning from a two-month European tour, dancehall artiste Konshens is one of several international acts featured on the popular video game Just Dance 3.
Released earlier this month, Just Dance 3 has more than 45 songs from multiple genres and popular artistes, as well as top Billboard tracks. It features artistes like BOB, Katy Perry, Snoop Dogg, Cee Lo Green, Taio Cruz, Rihanna, Janelle Mon‡e and LMFAO.
The music video game was released on the Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, with Move and Kinect support, respectively, for the latter two. The Just Dance video game is part of a series published by Ubisoft.
Speaking with THE STAR, Konshens says the song which is called Jamaican Dance also features Elephant Man.
"The people from the company that were doing the video game linked me to put vocals on the track. It was done specifically for that," he said, noting he was chosen based on his clarity, melody and lyrics.
A major achievement, Konshens says he is grateful.
"Just another milestone, a good achievement. Time to move on to the next level. I am excited nonetheless because it is a good opportunity," he said.
In addition to being featured on the video game, Konshens says a music video will also be done to accompany the single that will be on iTunes.
Meanwhile, the artiste is still basking in the success of his recent two-month European tour alongside Darrio and his Subkonshus Band. During the tour, they visited places like Israel, France, Austria, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden.
"The tour was good, we go all bout the place. This is the third time for Europe but this time I went with my band. The band shell it! We already get some booking for next year," he told THE STAR, adding that he would be performing in Africa early next month.
This is in addition to the recent release of the music video for his song Do Sum'n. The video that was done by himself and Gareth Cobran features several local dancers. Konshens said this was done because he was "bigging up dancers for their contribution" to the music industry.
He also added that a medley video has also been shot for his 'School Fee' rhythm that features artistes like Darrio, Assassin, Tajii, Spragga Benz, Delus, Patexx, Chozenn, Onton and Bling Dawg.
Konshens said the project would be followed by many more productions from his record label.
