N. Manley Law School students warned not to attend Kartel trial

Students of the Norman Manley Law School are upset at a directive that all law students discontinue their attendance at the Kartel Murder Trial. The warning allegedly stems from an incident where a student passed a sweet to one of the co-accused during one of the trial sessions, according to RJR News. It is alleged that a court personnel angered over the incident lodged a complaint with the law school administrators. The students openly voiced their opposition and has threatened to defy the directive by turning up at court. They argued that it is their constitutional right to attend the public sessions of the trail noting that the ongoing deliberations play a key role in their preparations to be called to the bar.
