At around 11am Monday January 6, 2014, 20 year old Derick Walters famously known for his stage name as “Mace”, encountered a tragic problem which almost resulted in him loosing his sight while having his eyeball tattooed. Mace stated “I was fully aware of the consequences in getting this procedure done but never knew it could have happened to me.” Months before this procedure, Mace took his interest to Facebook and twitter stating what he was about to do, and received a lot of concerned comments which he ignored. After hearing about the incident, concerned fans sent get well messages to his Facebook page and twitter. The tattoo’s artist name will not be exposed, as he’s still in police custody undergoing questions. Dr. H Khan stated the chemical substance which is used to numb the eyes before getting the procedure done wasn’t fully applied on the area which was getting tattooed. This lead up to him being rushed to Kings County Hospital after the needle pierced went below the layer of his eyes. Mace final words to fans before surgery were “I would be ok, just a little unstable and blurred vision. Keep me in your prayers.
