Ninja Man, Specialist hit number one with 'Dweet'

Resurgent dancehall legend Ninja Man and former Magnum King of Dancehall Specialist have hit number one on the very popular CVM TV Hitlist music chart countdown with their single 'Dweet'.

The song, produced by Downsound Records' Scatta Burrell, is a witty compilation between two different genres of artistes. In the song, Ninja Man, who acts as the veteran, and widely recognised as the best 'clash' artiste over the years, challenged the worth of the younger artistes of today, who are defended by a fledging Specialist.

The video for the single is being directed by Downsound Records' Mr B, which is the alter ego used by the company's CEO Joseph Bogdanovich, in his role as video director. The video is expected to be released in a few days' time.

Both artistes displayed great optimism for the future success of their collaboration. "The song is picking up well in the dancehall industry, and it will only get better," said Specialist.

"It is the song everybody is talking about now. Dweet a go far places," Ninja Man echoed.

eager to perform

Also on the cards for Ninja Man is his much-anticipated performance at the much-talked-about event, Behind The Screen, at Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records tonight. The tough-talking deejay said he is just as eager to perform as how his fans are to see him at the ever-growing event.

"Yes, man, the Ninja will be there in live and living colour. I am very excited to perform like how my fans are very excited and eager to see me," he said.

Ninja Man starred on the Irie FM roadshow recently in several areas of Portland and St Thomas. The deejay's appearances on the roadshows were courtesy of Contractor's Marketing, the marketing arm of Downsound Records.
