Diamond Music Empire recording artiste Shauna Chin has experienced a surge in popularity since the release of her singles, 'My Life' and 'Why'.
The latter, Why, marketed on YouTube sites as a 'Gully Bop diss', has generated more than 60,000 views online, and blowing up FM radio. Another single, Padlock featuring LA Lewis, has become a favourite on street mix tapes.
"The bookings are coming in. I have got calls from Britjam and from the Nine Miles Music Festival, plus other calls for bookings all across the Caribbean have been coming in. Things are looking great for the 2016," she said.
She will be shooting videos for some of her new songs.
"Frassout will be shooting a video for Why in the next two weeks. Producer Rinsy Colours wants to shoot Wife Mi Name, and Diamond Music Empire will be heavily promoting My Life with a video in February. My Life is getting a lot of radio play all over the world," she said.
Chin, 26, who goes by the stage name Chin Chin, is working hard on releasing an EP later this year.
"Right now, I have over 10 tracks completed. People a post say mi need fi come with an album or EP I have a lot of unreleased material, just need to get the rhythm so I can re-record them," she said.
It has been a turbulent six-month period for Chin as in August, she was in an accident that left her with a bruised neck. In October, she released her debut rhythm, called 'Throat'. In December, she had a public bust up with Gully Bop.
"Right now, I am just focussing on my music, I am not dealing with any animosity, just my music," she said.
