Singer Tanya Stephens will be the highlight of a new event, Behind The Screen Series, that kicks off at Tracks and Records, Constant Spring Road, St Andrew, tomorrow.

Stephens will be the first performer of the series that will take place every Tuesday during the summer. She will be followed by acts like Beenie Man, Konshens and Romain Virgo. However, the performers for August have not been disclosed.

"We think that she (Tanya Stephens) can carry the show and draw people to the venue and people haven't seen her perform for a long while. We wanted a strong performer to start it off so that people would keep coming," said Solid Agency's Leann Ollivierre.

She noted that the event that is being hosted by Solid Agency, Guinness and Tracks and Records is being held in an effort to help revive live music.

"We don't really have a lot of band shows so what they are trying to do is bring back that vibe as opposed to a track show," Ollivierre told The STAR.

"We just want people to come out and have a good time. Just bring back the whole live performances."
