Dancehall deejay Elephant Man is to return to court on October 27, 2014 to answer charges of grievous sexual assault and rape.

The trial date was set when Ele returned to court this morning.

The police say the charges stem from an incident at the deejay's St Andrew home in January 2012.

Investigators say a woman filed a police report claiming that Elephant Man sexually assaulted her.
